Covid roster limits for season 9

ROSTER LIMITS

For upcoming season 9 only, the active roster will be raised from 52 to 55 active players.

Taxi squad will increase from two to six. These players will not be allowed to play for the length of the season.
Taxi squad players will be marked as inactive (IA) and have their salary reduced to zero.

If you retain any COVID opt-out players, they MUST be placed on your taxi squad. Other players who played in five or fewer games may be placed on your taxi squad as well (up to a maximum of six players).

This allows a team to have 61 players total. 55 active, plus six additional players on the taxi squad . You retain the rights to all 61 for the beginning of season 10 (unless cut for an injury replacement).

Since a player's usage and worth in salary is also adjusted for their lack of play, the season 9 salary cap will remain at 121 million.

No more than 61 can be on your team total at one time past the to-be designated date.
No more than 55 can ever be on your active roster at one time past the to-be designated date.
No more than six can be placed on your taxi squad.

After the free agency period, you must be at 52-55 active players, meet all mandated minimums and maximums, and can have
anywhere from zero to six on your taxi squad.
