Dallas loves its running game and used it well in their win over the Lions, rushing thirty seven times for one hundred and thirty eight yards. Not especially explosive numbers, but able to keep the game flow in Dallas' hands.
So what did Detroit do? As expected, they respected that running game with defenses matched to stop or limit it.
In comes Michael Thomas who performed well again this week with nine catches. His ability perfectly complements the Cowboy rushing attack.
In spite of Cowboys offensive firepower, Detroit was able to keep things close until the turnovers started.
1 Fumble
2 Interceptions
Oh and the 4th down conversion failures. They can be killers if you fail. Especially if you are on your side of the fifty yard line. Detroit was 1 of 3 and it was a major contributor to the outcome of this game.
Detroit was able to pull within two touchdowns on their final drive to make it 35-21.
Great game and Detroit is a tougher opponent than what this score indicates.
