Sunday: October 16th
Pittsburgh Steelers: Michael Ryan
San Francisco 49ers: Dan Kipfer
On paper this might look like a blowout in favor of the Pittsburgh Steelers. But, look closer. To start, let's take a look at new head coach, Dan Kipfer.
Dan has been playing Madden football for a very long time. I can remember Dan as a member of our PFL community since around 2001 when he was a part of the 2002 version. If I remember correctly he was the GM of the Redskins, but I might be mistaken. Dan has always been a winner. He knows the game and limits mistakes. Sam Bradford is a promising, young quarterback and limits mistakes as well. He's only thrown 10 INTs all season. Gore can run the ball and may come in handy vs the Steelers who like to bring outside pressure from Harrison and Woodley. Through the air, it is WR Davis who provides the star-power and has 87 receptions. This team can win the game as long as they don't give Pittsburgh what they want...a clear shot at Bradford.
The Steelers gameplan is simple...Kill the QB, and no one knows how to do that better than Michael Ryan. The Syeelers have piled up 66 sacks between only two players, Harrison and Woodley. But do you want to stop them? Can you? I don't think so. I believe the only way to defeat this team is to rely on your running game and quick release passing. Get rid of the ball and do it fast! While Pittsburgh's offense is not explosive, they have talent and spread the ball around. Look for this to be a close wone with the Steelers winning, 28-21
