Around The League w9

I've picked this as game of the week because, well, mainly...both these teams were able to pull out a hard fought game against the league's best...Detroit Lions! No...just kidding. I really picked this game because they have two of the best records in the NFC that are playing one another.
But when I started to study these two teams I came to realize that the Seahawks, who are playing very well, will need more than a good game to pull this one out. With that said, anything can happen in Madden and the Seahawks are home and as we know, home team certainly has the advantage in '08.

But here's the deal.
They are going to have to play better than their 19th overall rating on defense to pull this one out. They're 10th against the run but Peterson will require all that and some magic, or just plain luck for the Seahawks to hold back this offense. And if they are fortunate enough to hold Peterson under a hundred yards look out for Harvin and Rice. Harvin is their deep threat and Rice is the guy they go to across the middle.

For the Vikings to win it's all about stopping Carson (TE) and Scott (WR). Carlson is without a doubt the guy Carpenter likes to throw to on 3rd down. Scott is a possession style receiver who can also get it done. It's all about the passing game with the Seahawks, at least to move the ball efficiently, with MJD running the ball well, and often, but not producing as well with YPC as he should this season. I think this will be a great game, but the Vikings pull out in the road game 31-21

The Bills have the best record in the PFL at 8-0. If you're on their schedule you'd better scout this team and prepare.

The Lions are still winless. (copy/paste this line for next week's article).

The AFC North looks very different this season with records of 4-3, 4-3, 3-4 and 2-5. But the Bengals and Steelers will keep the lead throughout the season.

It's the Chiefs and Broncos in the AFC west. Why do I think the Broncos will win the division?

Q: How do you know the Michigan State Police are seriously enforcing the Speed Limits into Detroit.
A: For the first offense, they give you two Detroit Lions tickets. If you get stopped a second time, they make you use them.

The Eagles and Giants are tied in the NFC East at 5-2. Week 11's game in New York could decide the division.

In the NFC South it's the Saints, a team of men playing among boys. They'll coast to the finish line.

If the Seahawks lose this week to the Vikings, and the Cardinals defeat the 49ers (and they should), the winds could change in the West and the Seahawks might have a tough fight for this division.

Q: What do the Detroit Lions and Billy Graham have in common?
A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ".

After Jerry lost to the Chiefs this week, he admitted his win last week against arch-rival, Denver happened after he repeatedly spilled his Colt 45 Malt Liquor on the keyboard and several scoring plays were picked accidentally as he wiped away the spillage. No one was more surprised than he was.

That's it for this week and remember...it's all in good fun. See ya in week 10.
