TEXANS PRESS RELEASE: :

The Texans announced today, the firing of Head Coach Gray Kubiak. It has been reported that Texans GM, Greg Davis was furious with the Coach after the teams week 17 debacle.

Davis is quoted as saying, "I'm disappointed with how the media has grabbed and ran with this, however, that last game is not the reason for the Texans reaching this decision....It's just time to move forward. Gary has done a terrific job coaching this team, and we wishing him only success in the future."

Davis followed up with the announcement of Bill O'Brien being named the third head coach in Houston Texans franchise history. The 44-year old brings 21 years of collegiate and NFL coaching experience to the Bayou City.

Head Coach O'Brien stepped up to the podium and said over the next few weeks he and the GM would be evaluating the team, targeting restricted and unrestricted Free Agents and creating a trade block.

With that said, the teams tentative block is as follows:

QB Daniel Boone

QB John Skelton

WR Robert Woods
