Why PFL/Rediset will switch to Madden'24 or maybe Maximum Football'23 |
Maximum Football'23 While Maximum Football may not be Online "coach mode" Franchise league ready out of the gate, there is always the possibility that it is eventually. Maximum FB'23 has so much promise that we can never count it out. Now owned by Modus Games, it is built on the Unreal 5 graphics engine and promises a ton of features that EA Sports never even considered. So keep an eye out on updates for Maximum Football. |

Madden'24 |
So, Madden football for the PC has been a disappointment. Not just this year but every year since it returned to the PC with Madden'19. There's always been a major flaw to the coach mode AI. So much so that the once huge player pool for coach mode has become bare bones. EA's lack of true talent and foresight in their development department has caused that pool to become a very small puddle and the once mighty number of coach mode leagues have become only a handful. So why stay with Madden? |
Madden'24 promises improvement. If that promise holds true it could be a turning point. If not, we could see Madden Football lose its spot at the top. The NFL is fed up and it's, "do or die," for EA Sports and Madden NFL Football. The NFL says, "Get it done or get off the pot and make room for someone else." |
What Madden'24 might do right |
1) Crossplay. Paydirt leagues are PC leagues. Crossplay brings us a much larger base of players to draw from. PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox players can play each other on their own platforms. |
2) Next Gen: Better graphics and interfaces. If you've seen the other platform versions you can see how much more convenient is is to use coaching adjustments or call plays. |
3). Statue Quarterback: Nothing on this yet. But this problem magically appeared several versions ago and stuck around. Hopefully, it magically disappears with 24. |
4) Gameplay: Not much on this yet either, but hopefully, gameplay will be better and slider adjustments and penalty settings will be useful. I don't believe I can remember any version having useful penalty sliders. |
In Closing.... |
While both the PFL and Rediset will carefully study the new release of Madden NFL Fooball this Fall, we plan to switch over as soon as possible if all looks good. So be prepared. Our opinion is that 24 has to be better.... doesn't it? It has to. What did John Lennon say when Paul declared, "It's getting better all the time?" He said, "It can't get no worse." And who knows? Madden'24 might blow our minds! ...or just blow.
Oh well, there's always Maximum Football if they have coach mode. Are you listening, Modus? |
