Week 7 Predictions

Carr is on a roll
Lions were up 14-0 against Jacksonville in the first quarter before crumbling.  Redbirds fell behind the Giants 21-7 before pulling away last week.  Carr is 2-0 since being acquired by Arizona.  Detroit will need to play their best to stop Arizona's momentum.  Arizona 24,  Detroit 16

No Love for Miami
Phins have only been close in 1 game this year.  Packers are undefeated.  It would be very surprising to see either of these change this week.  Green Bay 31, Miami 7

What a difference good ownership makes
Purdy was magnificent last week as the Seahawks improved to 2-4.  John has Seattle on the right path to respectibility.  Jason is also rebuilding the Steelers the right way.  Should be a close game between these 2-win teams.  Seattle 21, Pittsburgh 20

Jaguars lying in wait for Vikings
Jaguars came from behind against the Lions after spotting them 14 points.  Vikings are fighting for a playoff berth.  Mr Goff will be hard pressed to repeat his poor performance from last week.  Don't see Jacksonville stumbling this week.  Jacksonville 31, Minnesota 17.

You don't need to schedule an appointment with your Optometrist
Washington is tied for first in the AFC East.  The Commanders only have 1 winning season in the PAFL (Season 1).  Tampa Bay still rebuilding and near the bottom of the NFC Central.  That being said, Tampa Bay has weapons on offense (Etienne, Lawrence, and Wilson).  I think the Bucs can pull a little upset this week.  Tampa Bay 21, Washington 20.

What about them Boys, Len?
The Cowboys have had a rough go of it this year as they sit in the cellar of the NFC East with no wins.  Giants came up short versus Arizona and are sitting with 2 wins.  Dallas Defense is near the bottom of the PAFL.  I really wanted to pick Dallas, but the safer pick is New York.  In a totally irrational pick, I'm assuming key breaks go the Cowboys way.  New York 28, Dallas 31.

Panthers claw Colts
Carolina turned the ball over too much against the Rams last week which tightened the AFC East.  Indy in fight for AFC Central crown and can't afford another loss.  Both teams lost to the Bengals by 3.  I'll go with Mahommes over Wilson.  Carolina 28, Indy 27.

Bengals trounce Titans
Bengals rolled over the Cowboys and lead the AFC Central.  Both teams have players on defense.  Bengals though are superior on offense.  Titans pulled off a win against the Colts last week.  In the likely return of Daniel Jones, Cincy 31, Tennessee 13.

Bills set to roam
Bills coming off a tough game against their AFC East foe Cleveland.  49ers find themselves in the AFC West cellar.  Perhaps this is the game L-Jax doesn't toss an interception.  Buf 24, SF 9.

Can Saints keep winning?

Undefeated Saints have been rolling this year though they've only defeated 1 likely playoff team (Cincinnati).  While Cleveland has lost twice, both were to likely playoff teams.  I suspect Cleveland shuts down the Saints this week unless Stafford gets hurt.  Cleveland 24, New Orleans 13.

Pierce was correct
My friend Pierce warned me about the learning curve/challenge playing running QBs in Action.  He has proven to be correct.  Pierce and I also talked a fair amount about our growing dislike of Action football.  Eagles defeated Pittsburg last week for their second win.  Unless Joe is a sub coach for the Eagles, this game should be close.  Chicago 24, Philadelphia 23.

Raiders taking no prisoners
The Raiders blasted the 49ers and hold a 4 game lead in the AFC West.  Mike White started for Tua last week and threw the ball 72 times in a loss to the Falcons.  While the Chiefs are much improved, they will face an uphill battle in this game.  LV 38, KC 10.

Perhaps the Chargers were looking ahead?
Game of the week.  Last week, the rejuvenated Commanders imposed their will on the Chargers.  While the Rams are not as stout as in previous years, they still have Brady, Kelce, Adams, and Kenny Main at the helm.  Will be interesting to see if the Chargers are ready for prime time.  I have to show respect to Kenny.  Rams 34, Chargers 27.

Falcons not ready to fly
Broncos have been inconsistent this year either winning big or losing big in most games.  Atlanta won for the first time last week defeating the Chiefs.  Falcons have struggled on offense (worse in the PAFL).  My guess is Denver wins big this week over the rebuilding Falcons.  Denver 31, Atlanta 7
