Are the Jags for real? Coach/GM Shawn Studebaker definitely got off to a rough start as a new coach/GM. Going 0-16 year one and taking possible bust Devin Bush with the number 1 overall pick in 2019. In year two not much better going 1-14-1! One thing he did do is purge the old guys for draft picks and let the young guys play. The Jags ended up with the 1st and 3rd overall picks in 2020. They took Chase Young and Justin Herbert. Things were starting to come together but by this point the owner and fans were tired of losing! Studebaker was pressured by ownership to trade all their future draft picks they accumulated in an attempt to win now. They brought in some huge names including Derrick Henry, Chris Godwin, Curtis Samuel, Jared Cook, Marlon Humphrey's, Tremaine Edmonds, Patrick Peterson, and most recently Marcus Peters!
The Jaguars are currently 5-0! They lead the league in Defense and are in the top 10 on offense putting up 32.6 points a game. This is quite the start considering the previous 2 seasons they were a combined 1-30-1!!! This being said there are definitely some question marks about if this teams ready. They are incredibly young and their very young coach that now has a little over 2 years under his belt only won 1 game in his first two years! Never mind that though 5-0 is 5-0 right? We shall see the Jags are about to hit a tough 3 week stretch. They play Cleveland (3-1), Buffalo (3-1), and New York Giants. (3-1) This will be a telling 3 week stretch but the Jags have Florida in a frenzy currently.
