A game of inches

The Bears and Vikings battled this week in typical fashion expected from the Black and Blue division. The game came down to several plays with no better odds than flipping a coin. The first coin flip occurred with only seconds left in the game. Minnesota trailing by 7, faced a 4th and goal at the Chicago 4. Everyone knew a pass was coming. Ryan ending up delivering a TD pass where the play analysis screen showed a 48% chance of a TD. Even though they scored, the Chicago brain trust was happy with these odds and would take this any time against the tough Viking squad.

The next 50/50 occurred on the coin flip to start OT with the Vikings winning the toss. They ended up kicking a FG which allowed the Bears a chance to win if they could score a TD. Chicago had to settle for a FG. The Vikings answered with another drive that resulted in a FG.

But at least in the PAFL I don't have to endure people complaining during/after the game how "they were screwed" by the game engine or how "they'd been Koched". When this happened to me in other leagues I'd always laugh inside as these people only remember the 1 good break my team had while totally ignoring the half dozen lucky breaks they got in a game.

Look forward to the next battle with our Norsemen friend Mr Linder.

PS - A friend of mine told me not to watch the Play Analysis screen when you play a game cause it will drive you crazy. He is correct. View it during a game at your own risk. You've been warned.
