Tampa Bay win less this season traveled to LA with a new starting QB Trey Lance. The Bucs played inspired ball in the first half and lead 23 - 3. The second half was a struggle for Tampa's offense as they were unable to score. Chargers reach the Buccanneers 48 with 1:30 left trailing 23-16, but Herbert throws an INT which effectively ended the LA comeback.
Lance finished 25-17-187 yds with 1 TD and rushed 5 times for 40 yards.
Herbert threw 54 passes, completing 27 for 254 yds with a TD and an INT.
All in all it took the best effort of the entire Buccaneer team to hold off the Chargers.
