The Paydirt Football League Continues with Changes and You're Invited to Join Us

If you're getting this invite, you've likely been a part of Paydirt at one time or another, and we want you back.

Changes? What Changes?

After the 2004 and 2008 versions, Madden has been one big disappointment for us coach-mode players. The lack of realism has forced many players into retirement from our league and Madden in general and into a tirade with a hammer and the Madden Disc. We are trying to change that, and this may be Paydirt's last attempt to get Madden right.

So why should I buy Madden '25 if this effort fails? Here's why...

If it fails, we are going to be working heavily with the new game Maximum Football. It shows great promise, and it is possible we could switch to it around the end of the year if it proves worthy. In that case, our current team owners will get first dibs at a Paydirt Maximum team. So you'll want a part of that.

And if this "Great Experiment" with Madden '25 works?

Then you will be a part of Paydirt, a league that's been around for more than two decades. A win-win scenario.

What's Different with This Version of the Paydirt Football League's Approach?

1. To keep gameplay tight, we are using "All Madden" difficulty setting.
2. Our slider settings are tuned to make defenses better than before.
3. We will obviously begin this season with some open teams. If you play an open team, the game MUST be simmed a straight sim. this eliminates unfair advantages and the need for substitute  players.
4. Rewards for success have been turned down to absolute minimums.
5. Both the number of times a play can be used during the game, and in a row, are set to prevent spamming plays or using plays that can swing a game (e.g., option plays). You will need to be imaginative.
6. Back to basics: No more Discord. We will use WhatsApp, but only for needed communication to schedule your game, etc. There will only be one channel for general updates. To contact your opponent, you will message him directly through WhatsApp.
7. The Paydirt PFL Website will again be the central hub. News, updates, articles will all be posted there.
8. Back to the forums: Signing free agents, trade talk, broadcast links, etc., will all be done in our new forums on the Paydirt (PFL) website.

Remember how Paydirt was years ago? Back when we played Madden 2004 and 2008? We are looking to recreate that feel and simplicity and that friendly atmosphere with Madden '25. Come join us for one last try to get it right... the way it used to be. And if it fails... well, it would have still been fun trying this together.
