Some of you have concerns with the gameplay. I'm here to give you hope that it will get better. I am a stickler for realism. Okay is not good enough. Paydirt has always been the one that strives for realism. Even in the early days, (the 2000s and before), we were the ones other leagues looked to to see how to proceed. We will be that again. I have the formula to do it. How so? In the past, "All pro" was the difficulty setting we used. The result? Offenses were over-powering and RPOs were unstoppable. When I first started play-testing Madden'25, I found that it played just like 24. RPOs were still the go to plays. Offense was still Super Heroes no matter the slider settings. So the next move was.... "ALL MADDEN DIFFICULTY" We've never tried this level of difficulty. The first thing I noticed is that all the issues with "All Pro" were solved, including RPOs.... Too much! But I also knew there was a lot of room to make adjustments. Adjustments to make the offense better, to improve running, passing and offensive line blocking and QB ability without losing pass coverage, something we always knew was a problem. If it wasn't the zone coverage in this edition of Madden. it was the man to man coverage in that edition that sucked. Well, no one can complain about either at this point. Pass coverage is pretty good. Sacks are high. Here's why.... Defensive reaction time and pass coverage is set to 99 and 100. These settings will likely be adjusted downward as the season progresses. Also, some QB attributes such as "Never throw away" etc could also be the culprit. We are open to also experiment with those attributes upon request. These changes, slider settings and attribute changes must be done slowly, a little each week. Let Jeff know if you wish to have either The "throw away attribute or the pocket/scramble setting to be changed. It will be free. No training camp points needed *(this season)
Again... These changes will be a little each week. But will certinally be finished before the end of this season. |

TRAINING CAMP POINTS As you all know, we are not getting any points in season for players. No progression/regression. This is on purpose to prevent stat padding to get training camp or progression points. Instead, teams will receive an increase of points in the off-season to be used on players. We will also inflate the amount that Paydirt has given in the past to make up for it. WE will also likely increase the amount you can use on individual players and attributes. You'll still get what you need but not by padding stats. And you'll have more control on how to use the points you get. |

LISTEN TO JEFF Jeff is one of the best I've seen at dissecting a play, taking it apart of finding out how to defeat it or to perfect it. Do not discount what he says, expecially about the RB pass blocking technique he has been promoting. I count that as the single reason I was able to come out the winner against a Ravens team that is more talented than mine and a coach who is better at Madden than I am. I noticed a huge difference in game and in practice when implementing his instruction. He has a channel up on videeos. https://pafl.proboards.com/board/48/jeffs-articles Visit it and watch them. THE PFL WEBSITE https://paydirtfootball.com/pfl/ It is the league hub. Not Discord, not Whatsapp. not anything else. Discord and Whatsapp is simply the easier way to communicate but if you FAIL to visit the site ""EACH WEEK"" You will miss out. You'll miss out on players posted for trade availability in the forums, polls, Broadcast links and yes we plan to offer things for broadcasts again, just not something that hurts those who cannot because of bandwidth. But most of all.... You'll miss out on Commissioner updates and Jeff's articles. We will be moving toward you needing to visit the site to get both of those once we get things settled. IN CONCLUSION I am not just confident, but very confident that by season's end, we will have the best gameplay. Better than any other league on the net. I will accept nothing but. Yes, slider settings will be adjusted throughout the season to achieve this. For that reason, look in to see what the sliders are ""BEFORE" you play your game so you are aware. I promise.... the best is ahead. Making these kind of changes during an active season is not how we usually do it. But it is necessary and will pay off in the end.
Until then, hang in there and continue to state your issues. We can't solve them if you do not let us know.
