PFL WEEKLY GAME PREVIEWS
The Road to the PFL Championship Continues
The PFL season is beginning to take shape. Some teams have jumped out to perfect records, others are already fighting to keep pace, and several winless clubs are looking for that first breakthrough victory.
There is plenty of firepower around the league. Dak Prescott leads the passing statistics with 507 yards and five touchdowns without an interception, while Baker Mayfield has 509 yards and four touchdowns. Josh Allen is also off to an impressive start, throwing for 458 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions.
On the ground, J.K. Dobbins has been one of the league's most productive backs with 218 yards and two touchdowns, while Jadarian Price has 217 yards and two scores. James Cook has 162 yards and three touchdowns for Buffalo.
Now, let's look at every game on the schedule.
⭐ GAME OF THE WEEK
Los Angeles Chargers (2-0) vs. Buffalo Bills (2-0)
This is exactly what a PFL Game of the Week should look like: two undefeated teams, two talented rosters and two coaches who have yet to experience a loss this season.
Los Angeles has received excellent production from its backfield. J.K. Dobbins has rushed for 218 yards on 42 carries, averaging 5.2 yards per attempt with two touchdowns. Justin Herbert has thrown for 408 yards and three touchdowns, although he has also thrown one interception.
Buffalo counteracts with Josh Allen. Allen has completed 33 of 54 passes for 458 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions, producing a 106.9 passer rating. James Cook has added 162 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 28 carries.
The Chargers also have a dangerous receiving weapon in Ladd McConkey, who has 118 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Buffalo's Dalton Kincaid has 148 receiving yards through two games.
Why the Chargers can win
Los Angeles can control this game with Dobbins. If the Chargers establish the running game, Herbert won't have to carry the entire offense. A productive ground attack could also keep Josh Allen and the Buffalo offense on the sideline.
Why the Chargers can lose
Allen has been extremely efficient, and Buffalo has already demonstrated the ability to produce explosive offensive plays. If Herbert is forced into obvious passing situations, the Chargers could find themselves in a shootout.
Why the Bills can win
Allen has yet to throw an interception and is averaging 229 passing yards per game. Cook is also averaging 5.8 yards per carry with three touchdowns. That combination gives Buffalo the ability to win through the air or on the ground.
Why the Bills can lose
The Chargers are 2-0 for a reason. Dobbins is running extremely well, and Los Angeles has enough offensive balance to make Buffalo defend every inch of the field.
🔮 PFL Prediction
Bills 27, Chargers 24
This one could come down to the final possession. Buffalo's combination of Allen and Cook gives the Bills the slightest edge.
PFL Game of the Week: Buffalo survives a thriller.
Atlanta Falcons (2-0) vs. Green Bay Packers (1-1)
Atlanta comes into this one undefeated, while Green Bay has already tasted both victory and defeat. The Falcons therefore have the early momentum advantage.
The Packers, however, have enough talent to make this interesting. Jordan Love has thrown for 475 yards, while Josh Jacobs has produced 145 rushing yards.
Falcons can win
The 2-0 record suggests Atlanta has found a formula that works. If the Falcons avoid turnovers and force Green Bay into long-yardage situations, they can keep their perfect record alive.
Falcons can lose
Green Bay has the quarterback and running-game combination to exploit mistakes. Love has already shown big-play capability.
Packers can win
Jacobs is averaging 5.4 yards per carry, giving Green Bay a reliable way to control the clock.
Packers can lose
Atlanta's unbeaten start means Green Bay cannot afford a slow beginning.
🔮 Prediction
Falcons 27, Packers 23
Carolina Panthers (0-2) vs. Cleveland Browns (0-2)
Somebody is getting into the win column.
Both clubs are 0-2, making this one of the most important games on the schedule for two teams desperate to stop the bleeding.
Cleveland has promising young talent, including tight end Harold Fannin Jr., whose roster rating is among the stronger pieces highlighted in the supplied roster data.
Panthers can win
Carolina needs to turn its offense into a more efficient, mistake-free unit. A strong defensive performance could give the Panthers the short fields they need.
Panthers can lose
The 0-2 start suggests Carolina has not yet found consistent production.
Browns can win
Cleveland's roster has enough individual talent to break out, particularly if the offense can establish a rhythm early.
Browns can lose
Like Carolina, Cleveland cannot afford to dig another early-season hole.
🔮 Prediction
Browns 24, Panthers 20
First win of the season: Cleveland.
New York Jets (2-0) vs. Detroit Lions (0-2)
The records couldn't be more different.
The Jets have started 2-0, while Detroit is still searching for its first win. The Lions are talented enough to make this competitive, but New York has earned the benefit of the doubt.
Jets can win
New York has momentum and confidence. A balanced attack should allow the Jets to exploit Detroit's 0-2 start.
Jets can lose
The danger is complacency. Detroit is a desperate football team.
Lions can win
Detroit has nothing to lose. If the Lions can create turnovers and make the Jets play from behind, an upset is possible.
Lions can lose
Two losses already mean Detroit has very little margin for error.
🔮 Prediction
Jets 28, Lions 21
Houston Texans (0-2) vs. Indianapolis Colts (2-0)
This is a major contrast in direction.
Indianapolis is undefeated while Houston has yet to win. The Colts have already established themselves as one of the teams to watch.
Houston's C.J. Stroud has actually produced solid individual numbers, throwing for 517 yards, third among the quarterbacks listed, but Houston has not translated that production into wins.
Texans can win
Stroud can move the football. If Houston turns those yards into touchdowns and avoids costly mistakes, the upset is possible.
Texans can lose
The 0-2 record tells the story: production has not been enough.
Colts can win
Indianapolis has already proven it can finish games. A 2-0 team facing an 0-2 opponent has the confidence advantage.
Colts can lose
Houston's desperation makes this dangerous. The Colts cannot assume this will be easy.
🔮 Prediction
Colts 30, Texans 24
Kansas City Chiefs (0-2) vs. Miami Dolphins (0-2)
Two heavyweight franchises, both looking for their first PFL victory.
Kansas City has Patrick Mahomes, but his first two games have been difficult: 286 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
Miami has Tua Tagovailoa, who has completed 71.2% of his passes for 404 yards with two touchdowns and one interception.
Chiefs can win
Mahomes is too talented to overlook. If Kansas City gets its passing game going, this offense can explode.
Chiefs can lose
The 0-2 start and Mahomes' relatively modest numbers show that the offense has not clicked yet.
Dolphins can win
Tua has been efficient, and Miami's passing game can attack a Kansas City defense that gives up big plays.
Dolphins can lose
The Dolphins are also 0-2. Someone has to make the critical plays.
🔮 Prediction
Chiefs 27, Dolphins 24
Kansas City finally gets on the board.
Tennessee Titans (0-2) vs. New York Giants (0-2)
Another battle between winless teams.
Both clubs need this game badly.
Titans can win
Tennessee has enough young offensive talent to create explosive plays. If the Titans establish the run, they can take pressure off the passing game.
Titans can lose
Mistakes have been costly early in the season, and the Titans cannot afford to fall behind.
Giants can win
New York can make this a physical game and attack Tennessee on the ground.
Giants can lose
The Giants' passing game has yet to establish itself as a consistent threat.
🔮 Prediction
Giants 23, Titans 20
Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (0-2)
Cincinnati enters at .500 while Pittsburgh desperately needs a victory.
Joe Burrow has thrown for 434 yards and four touchdowns, giving Cincinnati one of the more dangerous passing attacks in the league.
Bengals can win
Burrow's production gives Cincinnati a clear offensive advantage.
Bengals can lose
The Bengals have already lost once and cannot afford turnovers against a desperate Pittsburgh club.
Steelers can win
Pittsburgh is the hungry team here. At 0-2, expect the Steelers to be aggressive.
Steelers can lose
The offense has not produced enough consistently.
🔮 Prediction
Bengals 28, Steelers 20
Seattle Seahawks (1-1) vs. Washington Commanders (1-1)
A true middle-of-the-pack matchup.
Both teams are 1-1, making this an opportunity to move above .500.
Seattle quarterback Geno Smith has thrown for 314 yards and four touchdowns, although his 50% completion rate shows some inconsistency.
Seattle also has Jadarian Price, who has rushed for 217 yards and two touchdowns, averaging an impressive 6.6 yards per carry.
Seahawks can win
Price gives Seattle a powerful weapon on the ground.
Seahawks can lose
Geno Smith's inconsistency could create opportunities for Washington.
Commanders can win
Washington can make this a close, physical contest if it limits Seattle's running game.
Commanders can lose
If Price gets loose, Seattle can control the clock.
🔮 Prediction
Seahawks 26, Commanders 23
New England Patriots (1-1) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (2-0)
Jacksonville is one of the league's unbeaten teams, and the Jaguars have earned that record.
New England is no pushover, though. Drake Maye has thrown for 513 yards, while Trevor Lawrence has 347 yards with a 68.9% completion percentage.
Patriots can win
Maye's production gives New England the ability to keep pace in a shootout.
Patriots can lose
Jacksonville has already shown it knows how to finish games.
Jaguars can win
The Jaguars are 2-0 and have the confidence advantage. Lawrence has been efficient and turnover-free.
Jaguars can lose
New England's passing attack can put pressure on Jacksonville's defense.
🔮 Prediction
Jaguars 27, Patriots 24
Jacksonville stays perfect.
Arizona Cardinals (1-1) vs. San Francisco 49ers (1-1)
This one is difficult to call.
Both teams sit at 1-1 and both have enough talent to make a serious run.
Cardinals can win
Arizona can attack vertically and has enough offensive weapons to stretch the San Francisco defense.
Cardinals can lose
The Cardinals cannot afford turnovers against a disciplined 49ers team.
49ers can win
Brock Purdy has thrown for 392 yards and three touchdowns. His 92.5 passer rating shows that San Francisco's passing game is functioning well.
49ers can lose
San Francisco has already lost once, and Arizona can turn this into a high-scoring affair.
🔮 Prediction
49ers 27, Cardinals 23
Minnesota Vikings (0-2) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)
Tampa Bay has started perfectly while Minnesota is still looking for answers.
Baker Mayfield has been one of the league's best quarterbacks statistically, throwing for 509 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.
Chris Godwin Jr. has also been outstanding, producing 235 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Vikings can win
Minnesota has the talent to pull an upset if its defense can disrupt Mayfield.
Vikings can lose
An 0-2 team facing a 2-0 team has very little margin for error.
Buccaneers can win
Mayfield and Godwin are clicking, and Tampa Bay has momentum.
Buccaneers can lose
The danger is overlooking an opponent that desperately needs a victory.
🔮 Prediction
Buccaneers 31, Vikings 20
Baltimore Ravens (1-1) vs. Dallas Cowboys (2-0)
One of the more intriguing games of the week.
Dallas is 2-0, and Dak Prescott has been spectacular statistically: 507 yards, five touchdowns and zero interceptions, along with a 112.3 rating.
Baltimore counters with Lamar Jackson, who has completed 71.2% of his passes for 339 yards without an interception.
Ravens can win
Lamar's accuracy and mobility make Baltimore difficult to defend.
Ravens can lose
Dallas' passing attack is currently one of the most productive in the PFL.
Cowboys can win
Prescott is playing at an elite level and has yet to throw an interception.
Cowboys can lose
Baltimore's defense has playmakers capable of changing the game.
🔮 Prediction
Cowboys 30, Ravens 27
A potential playoff preview.
Las Vegas Raiders (1-1) vs. New Orleans Saints (1-1)
Another evenly matched 1-1 showdown.
Raiders can win
Las Vegas can win this by forcing New Orleans into third-and-long situations and turning the game into a defensive battle.
Raiders can lose
If the Saints establish the run, Las Vegas could have trouble controlling the tempo.
Saints can win
New Orleans has enough offensive talent to exploit mistakes.
Saints can lose
The Raiders are capable of creating a low-scoring, physical game.
🔮 Prediction
Saints 24, Raiders 21
⭐ Los Angeles Rams (3-0) vs. Denver Broncos (1-2)
The Rams are the hottest team in the PFL.
At 3-0, Los Angeles is the only team on the supplied schedule with three wins entering this slate. Denver is 1-2.
Matthew Stafford has thrown for 530 yards and three touchdowns, while Puka Nacua has 200 receiving yards.
Rams can win
Stafford and Nacua give Los Angeles a dangerous passing combination, and the 3-0 record shows the Rams are getting results.
Rams can lose
Denver is playing with nothing to lose. A couple of turnovers could change everything.
Broncos can win
Denver needs to make this a physical game and keep Stafford off the field.
Broncos can lose
If the Rams get into an early rhythm, Denver could be chasing points all night.
🔮 Prediction
Rams 30, Broncos 21
The Rams roll to 4-0.
Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) vs. Chicago Bears (2-0)
Chicago has surprised the league with a perfect 2-0 start, while Philadelphia is 1-1.
Caleb Williams has thrown for 328 yards and five touchdowns without an interception, producing a 103.5 rating.
Philadelphia counters with Jalen Hurts, who has 333 passing yards plus 112 rushing yards.
Eagles can win
Hurts gives Philadelphia a dual-threat dimension that can create problems for Chicago.
Eagles can lose
Two interceptions already show that Hurts can give opponents opportunities.
Bears can win
Williams has five touchdown passes and zero interceptions. That is exactly the kind of quarterback play that produces wins.
Bears can lose
Philadelphia's defense and Hurts' running ability could force Chicago into uncomfortable situations.
🔮 Prediction
Bears 27, Eagles 24
Chicago remains undefeated.

THE BIG PICTURE
This could be a defining week in the PFL season. The Chargers-Bills showdown has all the ingredients of a championship-caliber game, while the Rams are attempting to continue their perfect start. Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, Dallas, Indianapolis, the Jets and Chicago are also trying to prove that their early success is the beginning of something bigger.
And for the teams sitting at 0-2, the message is simple:
The season isn't over — but the time to start winning is now.
