The Commanders went into Dallas with
winning the game on their mind. At 1-1, they would have a chance to
go 2-1 and probably sit atop the NFC East in a tie.
Garoppolo was efficient going 20 of 32 for 260 yards with WR McLaurin
getting 100 yards on only 5 catches.
But really, it was the threat of RB Taylor that kept the Commander
coaching staff off balance. Their gameplan, as one would expect, was to
keep him at bay, committing most of the defensive calls to stopping him.
But even in doing so, he was difficult to stop, making multiple first
downs against goalline defenses. Double covering WR Waddle and TE Andrews
opened running lanes for Taylor as well.
All in all, this was a tight game with Washington playing a good game and
even taking the lead around mid-game.Good luck to them the rest of the
way.... Except of course when we meet up again. |
