AFC Central - Playoff Outlook |
AFC East features 2 strong playoff contenders. Here is how I rank each individual team's playoff chances. |
Likely Divisional Champ |
Cleveland (7-2) looks very strong from top to bottom. Their two losses are to Cincinnati (8-1) and Indianapolis (8-1). They have 3 tougher games remaining; a rematch with the Bengals (8-1) which will likely determine the Divisional champion, Rams (9-0), and the Chargers (5-3). Cleveland will be significant favories against New England, Baltimore, and Detroit. Browns floor is 10 wins though they could well run the table and finish the season 15-2. |

Getting bit by a Lion hurts |
Cincinnati (8-1) was rolling along until they were upset by Detroit. This was a big loss as it closed the gap between them and the Browns. Bengals have tougher games left against the Colts (8-1), Rams (9-0), and a huge rematch against the Browns (8-1). Cincinnati will be 10+ point favorites against Baltimore (1-8). Overall the Bengals have a tougher schedule remaining than the Browns. But they certainly have the talent to stay on top of the AFC Central. Cincinnati has a floor of 10 wins. |
